About
Anne Kilfoyle writes about uncertainty, identity, and the American West. Her lyrical and darkly humorous writing has appeared in Joyland, Epoch, Salamander, and elsewhere. A Best American Short Stories nominee, finalist for CutBank's Montana Prize, and two-time semi-finalist for American Short Fiction prizes, she is also a Tin House alum, a Summer Fishtrap Fellow, and has received support from the Community of Writers.
Anne grew up in the sagebrush steppe foothills of Boise, Idaho. She lived in Boston, London, and New York before returning west to receive an MFA from Eastern Washington University. She teaches writing at Portland Community College and can reliably be found enjoying the foods and forests of Oregon with her spouse and two dogs, Hubert and Noodle.
